Privacy policy
Last updated 31 August 2026
wardogs-tools.com is a one-person hobby project (see the project's aims), not a company. This page describes, in plain language, exactly what the site does with your data today — nothing more, nothing aspirational. It isn't a substitute for legal advice, but it's accurate.
You don't need an account
Every tool on this site — the loadout builder, the item database, sharing a build via link — works fully signed out and always will. A shared loadout link encodes the entire build inside the URL itself; nothing about it is sent to or stored on our servers. Signing in is only for saving loadouts to a profile and following in-development tools for updates.
What we collect if you sign in
Sign-in is via Discord or Google (OAuth) — we never see or store a password. When you sign in for the first time, we store:
- Your name, email address, and avatar image, as provided by the sign-in provider you chose.
- The OAuth tokens needed to keep your session signed in.
- Basic session metadata (IP address, browser user agent) recorded against your session, for security purposes.
- Any loadout you choose to save (item selections and slot placement — never anything you didn't explicitly save).
- Which in-development tools you've chosen to follow.
What we don't do
- No analytics or tracking scripts (no Google Analytics, no ad pixels, no third-party trackers).
- No advertising, and no monetisation at all — this is a free project.
- We never sell or share your data with third parties for their own purposes.
- Your browser remembers which sign-in provider you used last (so the button is pre-highlighted next visit) — that lives only in your browser's local storage and is never sent to us.
Who else sees it
Only the infrastructure that runs the site: Vercel (hosting) and our Postgres database provider process data on our behalf, as processors, not for their own purposes. Discord or Google see whatever their own sign-in flow normally shares with a site you authorise — subject to their own privacy policies, not this one.
Retention and deletion
Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. There is no self-service delete-account button yet — to request deletion of your account and everything tied to it, email contact@wardogs-tools.com from the address on the account, and it will be removed.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, using the contact above. This applies in full to anyone in the EU/EEA and the UK under GDPR, and we apply the same standard to every visitor regardless of location.
Children
This site isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If what the site actually does changes, this page changes with it and the date above updates. No separate notice is sent.
